Injuries, My Girls and The Night Terror Club. with Eilidh Gibson
This week’s guest Eilidh Gibson dedicated the majority of her life to competing. Now she inspires and empowers the next generation of women into a brighter future of canoeing.
She sits down with Tom and talks about her identity as a canoe slalom athlete, the effects and pressures of severe prolonged injuries and how solo travelling proved its marvellous wonders on her mindset and outlook. We learn all about this awesome Scot and her continued fight and ambassadorial support she instils into her girls, for the future of women in the canoeing world and beyond. An advocate, business and organisation owner, adventurer, a World Cup Silver Medal, 4th at the World Championships 2017, and numerous World & European Team Champions. But she is so much more than the definitions of jobs, qualifications and awards. Sport for women is changing, and we have people like Eilidh to thank for this.
